AI Agent-Powered Travel Concierge with End-to-End Booking

Meet our client

Our client is a travel technology startup building a conversational booking platform. Their product enables travellers to plan and book complete trip itineraries through natural language, with flights reserved directly through a global distribution system.

Context

Our client set out to make trip planning feel like talking to a sharp travel friend, not wrestling a search engine. The vision was a concierge that turns a loose idea, such as a relaxed ten-day spring trip through Japan, into a complete, bookable itinerary, then actually books the flights, all in one conversation.

Challenge

Delivering that meant solving hard product and engineering problems at once:

  • Traditional travel tools rely on manual filtering and static search
  • Users struggle to turn loose ideas into concrete, bookable plans
  • Planning is fragmented across inspiration, research, itinerary building, and booking
  • Existing systems cannot handle complex, multi-city trips or iterative changes
  • Wiring real-time travel data to conversational AI introduces latency, reliability, and orchestration challenges

What we did

VentureSEA designed and built the platform end to end, across AI agents, backend services, and the apps users touch.

  • Built a hierarchical multi-agent backend with LangGraph to orchestrate planning, with conversational AI that holds multi-turn context and session state
  • Generated personalised, day-by-day itineraries that adapt to preferences and preserve user edits across regenerations
  • Integrated multi-source data for flights, hotels, places, and routing, with direct flight booking through the Sabre GDS
  • Built responsive web in Next.js and mobile in Flutter, with real-time streaming responses and multi-device itinerary persistence on Redis and PostgreSQL
  • Load-tested the agent pipeline for concurrent sessions, holding p95 first-token latency under two seconds so conversations stream without dead air

Outcome and impact

  • End-to-end journey from inspiration to booking
  • Higher engagement through personalised, conversational UX

Business value

Collapsing trip planning from hours to minutes and booking flights in-platform lifts the share of browsers who actually book. On 200,000 planning sessions a year at an average $800 trip and a roughly 10% platform take, moving conversion up by even 1.5 points is about 3,000 extra bookings, $2.4M in added GMV and on the order of $240K a year in platform revenue, before the retention gain from a better experience.
